A Century of Experience

Cory Kamenzind was born into this trade. He grew up working in his father’s company, Northwest Cellular Lightweight, learning floors from an early age the way you only can when the family business is poured into you. In 2009 he founded Sound Floors and took over the work so his dad could retire. Since then, the company has grown revenue by more than 700 percent and expanded from its Puyallup, Washington base to serve four states.

Our team carries over 100 years of collective experience in our scopes of work: floor underlayments, sound control, leveling, elevated deck waterproofing, and elevated concrete.

That experience shows up in the places a GC actually feels it: accurate bids, prompt scheduling, quality installation, compliant safety measures, and a phone that gets answered by someone who has personally stood on thousands of substrates in multifamily housing construction.

No project is too big or too small. The same machine that pours a 300-unit podium project batches a single townhome row without a setup penalty.
